When I moved to Miami from Philadelphia, I knew I waned to learn salsa. I came to Coral Gables Studio of Arthur Murray and quickly discovered that in addition to salsa, I could learn merengue, rumba, cha cha, mambo and swing, all with a distinctly latin flavor. And then I learned that footwork is only the beginning. There is also cuban motion, posture, frame and proper leads to master. With the guidance of the studios excellent teachers, I learned to dance these latin rhythm dances and even started competing in national dance competitions. It’s great exercise (for the body and the mind); it’s chalenging; its exciting; and it’s fun! The friendly Coral Gables studio is a great place to learn to dance!
Thank you, Arthur Murray for your exceptional instruction to Tracy and Me for our Wedding’s First Dance in January. Luis was a fantastic instructor and really helped us develop a wonderful dance. Our guests were caught off guard and were completely amazed! As requested, I’ve attached a couple of the pictures from our first dance. Thanks again to Krisztina, Denise, and especially Luis! Your upbeat attitudes, friendly personas, and superlative professionalism made Tracy and I feel right at home and greatly contributed to a successful learning experience!!
Thank you all very much for your participation in such a wonderful memory!

We just wanted to say THANK YOU to Luis, our dance instructor, for his positive attitude and patience while teaching us the moves for our amazing first dance as husband and wife! We enjoyed each class so much and had lots of fun performing it in front of our loved ones. We are so glad we decided to take some lessons at Arthur Murray! Thank you again, Luis! Check out the pictures attached that our photographer captured of our dip and Sean celebrating our successful performance :)

I joined the studio in April 2010 to prepare for my daughter´s Graduation Ball in October of the same year. I enjoyed my experience so much that I decided to stay and I am now preparing for my first competition in Orlando!
The studio provides a warm and friendly atmosphere with a wonderful mix of age groups and professional backgrounds. The teachers are always available to provide encouragement and advice when necessary.
Come and see for yourself. You will improve your posture, self confidence and also have lots of fun at the same time. I am glad I joined!

Dancing is my escape from the everyday stress, my mode of expression; simply put, it is my time. It all started with a few dance lessons at Arthur Murray Coral Gables, but has developed into a desire to learn and become the best dancer that I can possibly be. It definitely helps that my wonderful husband and dance partner is also on board and understands and supports my love for dance.
My amazing instructor and the staff of Arthur Murray have given me the opportunity to learn and perform dances which I only once dreamed of doing. Needless to say, I truly look forward to my time on the dance floor.

I was introduced to the world of dance by one of my best friends that also dances with Arthur Murray. She thought it would be a good idea to give me a gift certificate for my birthday, even though she was aware that I had no ability to dance, because as I’ve told people many times “I have three left feet! No, not two, three.” So I was pretty sure that I was going to fall on my face during my first lesson. Either way I agreed to join her. I met with my instructor and had the lessons that were included in the gift certificate. At the end of the last one he asked me whether I was going to continue dancing or this was it. Needless to say I couldn’t agree to continue dancing fast enough.
I’ve been with Arthur Murray for almost a year now and I still can’t believe all I’ve done with the studio. Performing at Showcase and multiple spotlight dances at the weekly parties have been the highlight of my time at the studio. As all of the instructors put, I’ve become a diva! I enjoy being in the studio so much andIlove the people I get to see every week. My instructor pushes me to be better and better while still having fun and doing so with encouraging words.
One of the best things about dancing for me is the fact that I have now lost well over 50 pounds and have managed to keep it off for months. For me dancing is a great workout because most of the time I don’t even realize I’m exercising. Before I knew it none of my clothes fit and people kept asking me how much weight I had lost.
I plan to continue dancing as long as I can. Now that it has been brought into my life, I can’t imagine not being able to it or having some kind of exposure to dancing. It’s truly a great thrill!!!
It started with a promise…
After all our married years of fishing, he promised to go to Arthur Murray for a free introductory lesson…
We laughed our way through the first 15 minutes because, after all, REAL men don’t do THIS!! HA!!
We left 45 minutes later knowing how to do a basic but real cha-cha..And the fisherman-husband actually enjoyed himself and was surprised at how quickly the time went by!
We were hooked (pun intended) !! We started taking group lessons and met many nice, fun-loving people, most just learning, others a bit more accomplished and then started inviting our friends to join us. Husbands all a bit hesitant at first, but they left surprised at how easy and how much fun it was. The instructors are excellent at every turn and exceedingly patient. They can take the most inexperienced “Two-left feet” dancers and turn them into confident dancers on the dance floor in no time at all. We now get on the dance floor at parties and weddings and really turn some heads.
So if you have ever driven past the Coral Gables Studio on the Circle of Ponce and looked up and seen people dancing and said to yourself, “You know, I’ve always wanted to try that,” pull over and come on in and see for yourself all the fun we’re having..
And while I have not taken up fishing, my husband has continued to sign us up again and again and always tells his guy friends, “Women LOVE this stuff, you’ll be a happier man if you do it.”
And it all started with a promise…
My Husband and I love cruising. While on our “Engagement Cruise” we were mesmerized by the dancing
ability many elderly couples had. My “then boyfriend and soon to be fiancé” turned to me and said, “We
should be able to do that! I want to do dance like that!”
We came back from the cruise (engaged!) and immediately searched for a professional dance studio with a
good reputation. Arthur Murray came first to mind. We went into the studio to prepare for our wedding
dance and to learn the basics. After the first lesson, we were hooked! We now attend dance every Friday
as our “date night” together!
We honestly can’t imagine Arthur Murray dancing not being a part of our lives. We are now married
and have a child, and we still continue to dance and compete annually in competitions, both in-studio
and across the country. From the talented, professional, friendly staff to the people who dance at our
studio, we have made friends for life and have gained not only Cuban motion and rhythm, but a complete
understanding of dancing!

Two and a half years ago I bought an introductory package of dance lessons as a
Christmas gift for Al Heltman, the significant man in my life. These were lessons
that we would share, enjoy, and try to hone our skills as ballroom dancers.
Our lessons have proven to be an outstanding experience; each of us has improved
individually as a dancer and together as dance partners. We are having great fun as
we learn new and challenging steps. And we also exercise! A definite bonus.
I commend you and your fabulous team of teachers. Everyone at the studios is most
welcoming, especially to new students. Patience is a great attribute of the teachers,
particularly when they must review a step numerous times before the student catches
on…as least for us.
Al and I are just beginning our Full Bronze training. For someone who has never studied
Ballet, Jazz or Tap, it is a wonderful feeling of accomplishment to succeed in specific
dances and perfect specific steps. We are loving our dancing! And I also want to
acknowledge Roberto, who has helped me so much.
Thanks to all. We look forward to getting to SILVER!!!
